Get involved

Offering the right help at the right time can transform the lives of young people struggling with mental health and wellbeing. Sadly, there’s an ever-increasing demand for our services and without Open Door many young people would have nowhere to turn. Please help us give more young people the support they so desperately need.

How can you support us

Sadly, there’s an ever-increasing demand for our services and without Open Door many young people would have nowhere to turn. We try our best to provide an accessible and responsive service for all, but many young people and parents face a significant wait to receive the help they so desperately need.

While we’re supported by various charitable grants, corporate donors, the National Lottery, the NHS and local government, generous individual donations are a crucial part of our funding. We’d be grateful if you can afford to donate.

Fundraising

Open Door works in the heart of our community supporting children and young people across Haringey. There are many ways that individuals, schools, businesses and local groups can get involved to support our work.

• Hold a bake sale or dress down day at your school or college
• Host a quiz night, games night or cheese and wine evening
• Do a sponsored walk, run, swim or have a coffee morning for Open Door!
• Make Open Door your company’s charity of the year and enhance your business whilst making a difference

We love to hear from people who want to get involved in our work. Please do get in touch at enquiries@opendoor.org

Become a volunteer

Volunteering at Open Door is a great way to ‘give something back’ to the community, we’re always keen to recruit more help and there are several ways to get involved:

Start a local fundraising group

This is a great way to bring people together, have fun and the more we raise the more young people we can help! The Open Door team will give you all the support you need.

Become a Youth Advisor

Have you benefited from Open Door’s support and would like to contribute to the service? We have a group of young people who help us keep our user voice at the heart of all we do.

Become an Honorary Therapist

This is a rewarding opportunity for trained therapists to make a difference to local young people.

Social Media support

We are looking for volunteers to help us develop our social media strategy and presence. Could you help?

Become a Trustee

Help us ensure Open Door can be the best it can be for all our young people. At the moment we are looking for trustees with expertise in HR and Data Management.
